  • Guy Hobday
    Business & Marketing Director

    Guy brings over 26 years of experience in the aviation, defence and engineering sectors to his role as Business & Marketing Director. He began his aerospace career in 1987 with a company called SAC that latterly became Ricardo Aerospace/INBIS and is now known as Assystem. Whist there he worked with a diverse range projects and clients including: Diehl, MTU, Laben, Piaggio, Alenia Spazio, Denel etc. He spent 8 years with a leading European Engineering consultancy called GED / Sitec and later went on to work with Hyde, Magellan Aerospace, Sogeclair Aerospace & Lionbridge in Business Development roles,  supporting EADS Airbus and many of its global Risk Sharing Partners (RSPs).

    Guy has a wealth of contacts in industry alongside many years of business development experience in Europe, and has passion for delivering and winning work for clients with his personal and professional approach to business.

  • James Harris
    Operations Director

    From a strong operations and technical background, James worked as an independent marketing consultant and later a client services manager for a digital marketing agency before joining the team at Westworld.

    James started his career working at BAe Systems – Airbus, and went on to spend ten years working as an operations and systems manager for an international engineering consultancy – supporting clients like Airbus, Rolls Royce and EADS. During this time James was responsible for managing and delivering projects and services to the business and to clients in Europe. Working closely with the business development team he developed a wealth of experience in the aerospace and engineering sectors and a keen interest in marketing and business development.

    As Operations Director James enjoys working closely with clients and the team to help manage and deliver services, and to oversee day-to-day operations of the business.

  • Bob Hooper
    Senior Engineering & Operations Manager

    Bob has a wealth of experience within the Aerospace and Defence industry including development, programme management, quality, engineering and operations.

    Bob worked for Rolls Royce for more than 30 years (on both civil and military programmes), initially as a Development Engineer, then as the Pegasus Programme Manager, before becoming the Quality Manager within the Military Engine Group at Rolls.

    Bob has considerable experience working with International Companies in Europe, Brazil and the USA. Whilst with Rolls Royce MEG, Bob worked on a wide-range of collaborative programmes including working with companies such as MTU, ITP, Turbomeca, Fiat Avio, Piaggio, Celma Brazil, Rolls Royce Brazil (MRR) & FJ Williams.

    During his time as Quality Manager Bob was trained as a Lead Quality Assessor and carried out audits both internally for Rolls Royce and externally on suppliers as part of the quality approval process.

    Since leaving Rolls Bob has worked as a Quality Manager, Operations Director and Engineering Consultant, including time spent running a team of engineers supporting Aerospace & Defence companies like Rolls Royce plc, Rolls Royce GmbH, Weir Group UK, Israeli Aircraft Industries, & Telair Germany.

  • Brian Bailey
    Senior Business Manager

    Brian has considerable experience in contract management, business development and recruitment of engineers in aerospace and general mechanical/electrical industries. Following an apprenticeship with GEC he continued as a Design Engineer working for companies in the UK, Europe and Australia. His career progressed into management and consultancy positions with SAC Consultants, Ricardo Aerospace, Inbis, GECI International and Sitec Engineering .
    He has been responsible for development of business in many European countries and particularly in the Far East region including South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia.

    Brian has worked in the USA as manager of the offices of SAC Consultants Inc in Seattle and Los Angeles.These offices were dealing with major design projects for Boeing, Heath Techna and McDonnell Douglas.

  • Mike Foster
    Business Development Manager

    Mike is vastly experienced in the global Aerospace and Defence Markets, where he has spent his career to date.

    Starting as an engineering apprentice at Rolls-Royce, Derby, Mike then commenced a 14-year military career in the British Armed Forces as an aircraft technician working on both rotary and fixed wing aircraft and later as an Armoured Vehicle Artificer, culminating with command of the Forward REME Group (FRG) at 11 Field Workshop in Germany.

    After military service, Mike returned to Rolls-Royce to work on Pressure Water Reactors (PWR’s) for the Royal Navy’s nuclear-powered submarine fleet.

    Career highlights include time leading a 200+ workforce with General Dynamics in Germany, working on the aero-engine side with Dornier, the Spearfish torpedo project with Marconi Underwater Systems and the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). Mike has also spent considerable time in the USA with LTV in Texas; at Missile Command in Huntsville, Alabama and at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.

    Following time on MLRS, Mike joined GCT, an Aerospace design and development company based in Germany and became their Business Development Director. This led to remarkable growth & success as a leading European aerospace engineering company, winning contracts and working with clients including Airbus, Boeing, Rolls-Royce and many other OEMs and Primes..
